I am so excited to share my new Traveller Collective Clip! Darryl reached out to me a few weeks in regards to OYT and told me about this traveller clip that they sell. This clip is a personal reminder of all the places you've been, the amazing people you've met along the way and how lucky we are to be able to travel the world. The best thing about it is with every purchase you make, a certain percentage of your proceeds go to a charity organization that brings clean drinking water to the people who need it most.
How does it work?
First you buy the clip (which comes in black or brown) that holds all of your country spacers. After traveling to a country, you can buy a spacer to chain on to your clip. Each country has its own unique abbreviations engraved in the spacer (Egypt - EG). You can chain the clip on to any travel accessory - your book-bag, purse, luggage, etc. It is such a good conversation starter. Each spacer represents a story and experience. I can't wait to tag on some more :)
What is their story?
Darryl loves to travel. He had the privilege to travel, study and work all over the world. There’s something about that feeling of being on the road, truly living in the moment, that he simply craves. The more he began to travel the more his outlook began to shift. The extreme poverty that he continued to see was getting harder for him to experience. He felt that it was impossible to continue to see that disparity first-hand and not have something inside of him fundamentally change.
He started the Traveller Collective with a simple idea. Create a unique product for people who love to travel and want to do something about this massive inequality. A personal keepsake that inspires us to travel and helps provide a basic necessity of life to those that need it most. He is based out of Vancouver, Canada.
"We're on a mission to raise $10,000 to provide a clean, sustainable water source for a community of approximately 330 people.
We donate 25% of our revenue to the Traveller Collective Water Campaign to help fund our project with charity: water; an amazing non-profit on a mission to bring clean and safe drinking water to people in developing countries. They utilize a 100% Model whereby every dollar donated will go directly into the field to fund water projects."
