Accommodation

Homestay + AirBnb

We are accommodated in a homestay where we will live with a local family and other volunteers. It’s exciting to stay with a family, as this is an opportunity to learn the Moroccan way of life, meet local people, eat local food, speak the local language and engage in the local customs and traditions. Living is basic, yet still comfortable, and most homestays have electricity and running water. Volunteers can expect to share a room with one or two other volunteers; however in some homestays volunteers have their own rooms. All meals will be provided during the volunteer week.

PROGRAM INCLUDES

  • Meals (during volunteer week)
  • Accommodation
  • Transfers from Marrakech to Atlas Mountains
  • Airport Pick-up
  • Volunteer Training
  • 24/7 in-country support

Efforts

Agriculture Project

Our Volunteer efforts will be located in the Atlas Mountains, 1.5hr away from Marrakech. The Agriculture Project is designed for those volunteers who enjoy the more physical aspect of volunteering and don’t mind getting their hands dirty. The focus of this project is to assist farmers in the rural villages of the Amazigh (Berber) community, in order to improve their farming outcome. We will be located in the Atlas Mountains and work involves feeding animals, managing offspring, milking, ploughing, seeding, weeding, and harvesting, and are encouraged to teach Basic English to the farmers we are placed with.

IS THIS PROGRAM FOR ME?

This isn't a touristy or luxurious trip. This trip is for those who are looking for something new, adventurous and exciting. Our main purpose on this trip is to give back to the local community. If you aren't afraid to get your hands a little dirty to work in the fields and ready to come in with an open mind to learn a new culture, this is definitely for you!

We'll let you know if anything opens up
